Structure and schema
LLM-structured content, schema and semantic SEO
LLM-structured content and schema is the work of organizing your pages and adding structured data so machines can interpret them correctly. It covers page structure, schema.org markup, semantic SEO and optional files such as llms.txt. Kraffic.ai connects this technical work to the buyer prompts you track on ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Claude.

What is LLM-structured content?
LLM-structured content is content arranged so a large language model can pick out the facts without guessing. That means descriptive headings, a direct answer near the top, one idea per paragraph, and lists or tables where the information is naturally a list or a comparison.
It also means the important facts exist as text in the page. Facts that appear only in images, videos or content loaded by scripts may not be read by every crawler.
What is schema markup and does it help with AI answers?
Schema markup is structured data, usually written in a format called JSON-LD using the schema.org vocabulary, that states facts about a page in a form machines can parse. It tells a system that a page describes an organization, a service, a product or a set of questions and answers.
Structured data helps machines interpret a page, and search engines document how they use it. How much each AI assistant relies on it when writing answers is not published and likely varies, so it is best treated as a way to remove ambiguity, not as a guarantee of being named.
| Type | Describes | Typical page |
|---|---|---|
| Organization | Who the company is, its name, site and profiles | Home or about page |
| Service or Product | What is offered and to whom | Service and product pages |
| FAQPage | Questions with their answers | Pages with a real FAQ section |
| Article | A guide or article, its author and dates | Guides and blog posts |
| BreadcrumbList | Where a page sits in the site | All inner pages |
What is llms.txt and do I need one?
llms.txt is a proposed convention: a plain text file at the root of a website that gives language models a short, curated guide to the site. It is a proposal, not an adopted standard, and AI assistants are not known to obey it.
Adding one is low risk and can be a tidy summary of your key pages, but it should not be expected to change AI answers on its own. Clear pages and accurate structured data are the more dependable work.
What is semantic SEO?
Semantic SEO is organizing a site around topics and the entities within them, such as your company, products, services and locations, instead of around isolated keywords. Each entity is named consistently, described once in a clear place and linked from related pages.
This helps search engines and language models alike. Both try to work out what things a page is about and how they relate.
How do you measure whether it worked?
Structural work is checked in two ways. First, markup can be validated with standard structured data testing tools. Second, Kraffic re-runs your tracked prompts on Claude, ChatGPT and Google Gemini and shows whether visibility, cited sources or fact-check findings changed. Because AI answers vary between runs, the trend across scans is what to read.
Process
How the work is done, step by step
Confirm the facts
Kraffic reads your site and records business facts. You confirm or correct them so markup and content agree.
Scan the assistants
Tracked prompts run on Claude, ChatGPT and Google Gemini, showing where you are missing or misdescribed.
Recommend structure and markup
Recommendations cover page structure and structured data, each tied to the prompts it affects.
Implement on your site
Changes are applied to your pages and the markup is validated.
Re-scan and compare
Later scans show what changed in answers, citations and fact-check results.
FAQ
Questions about LLM-Structured Content & Schema
Does schema markup make ChatGPT mention my brand?
Not by itself. Schema markup helps machines interpret what a page says, and search engines document their use of it. AI companies do not publish how much their assistants rely on structured data when writing answers. It is worth adding because it removes ambiguity about your facts, but no markup guarantees a mention in ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude.
Is llms.txt an official standard?
No. llms.txt is a proposed convention for giving language models a short guide to a website. It has not been adopted as a formal standard, and AI assistants are not known to obey it. You can publish one as a summary of your key pages, but you should not rely on it to change how assistants answer.
What is JSON-LD?
JSON-LD is a format for writing structured data inside a web page. It is a block of code, invisible to visitors, that lists facts such as the organization name, the services offered or the questions in an FAQ, using the shared schema.org vocabulary. It is the format search engines commonly recommend for structured data.
Can wrong structured data cause problems?
Yes. Markup that states facts different from the visible page, or that marks up content which is not on the page, can be ignored by search engines and may confuse any system reading it. Structured data should repeat what the page says. Kraffic.ai bases recommendations on facts you confirmed, to keep the two consistent.
Do I need a developer to add structured data?
It depends on your website platform. Many content management systems and ecommerce platforms add basic structured data automatically or through plugins, while custom sites usually need a developer. Either way, someone should check that the markup matches the visible content and validates without errors.
